AI and PDF Crochet Patterns
AI generated images can be great for inspiring projects, but most of the time it's used online to generate revenue for scammers and the like.
Just scrolling through Etsy rn looking for crochet patterns, I've come across several listings (some with false 5 star reviews to boost engagement/trust) where the patterns and images are clearly AI generated and people, unfortunately, have fallen for the listings.
Some of the images might look totally obvious to you, but to the untrained eye they can be convincing.
SOOO, how do you spot AI crochet patterns?
Look at the stitches. Are there pieces that don't seem to stitch into one another? Are the lengths and sizes inconsistent? Some are more obvious than others, but AI fails to replicate consistent textures.
Lighting and saturation. AI images often are vibrant and cartoon-ish. Especially the eyes of projects - usually this is a pretty good giveaway. Additionally, is the image smooth? What's in the background? Does it make sense?
Limited photos on listing. Most legitimate shops are going to have multiple photos of the finished project on the listing - AI is fairly advanced, but not the best at recreating exact images. Does the listing only have one photo? Does it have multiple but with variants between projects (that are meant to be the same)? Are there any videos?
Is it even possible? This can be tricky if you are new to crochet, but as above, take a moment to look at the stitches and the overall shape of the project. Does it look plausable? Especially if they projects say 'no sew'. Additionally, if you have already purchased the pattern - does it tell you how much material you need, and does it make sense? Does it tell you crochet hook size?
Legit photo but AI generated pattern. Sometimes the images are real - but they've been stolen from another creators account and the scam shop has simply asked AI (such as ChatGPT) to write up a crochet pattern. These are less obvious at a glance, but most reputable shops will have social media, consistent themes of crochet projects and reviews with pictures of finished products uploaded by customers.
6. Ok, but what if they use AI but the reviews seem legit? Crochet Baby Duck - this is an AI generated picture and pattern, and while the shop has posted several pictures of the finished project it is clear that it does not match up with the AI generated duck pictured in the listing. The hat, feet, and bill are all different sizes and this is even noted in some of the customer reviews. While this isn't as scammy as straight up using AI generated images/patterns without showing how the finished project looks - it is still taking away from legitimate pattern makers. Being able to design and execute good patterns is a skill, and the prices of legitimate patterns often reflect this. Why does the shop even use AI pictures if they post the real life projects anyway? Cus it drives traffic, and lets be real - the real life plush dolls look no where near as good as the AI images.
This is the same as the walrus - AI generated image and pattern, this is even endoresed by Etsy so you cannot rely on 'Etsy picks' being legitimate as they choose profits over morals.
These patterns are not just limited to Etsy, they are often on Pinterest or websites for 'free' to generate traffic and collect data (asking for your e-mail for the free pattern). Such as this Peacock Crochet IRL figure by u/Echo-o_0 on Reddit.
This is not just limited to crochet, I've seen it in sewing, knitting, and any other PDF downloads that you can purchase or get for free. Unfortunately, it is a simple way for people to make a quick but and face little to no consequences as their store *might* get deleted and even then, they can just start a new one up.

Looking for a Crypto Exchange Marketing Agency That Understands Compliance?
Marketing a crypto exchange isn’t just about getting traffic’s about doing it right. Compliance is not optional. Every campaign, channel, and message must walk the line between growth and regulation. That’s why crypto platforms looking to scale responsibly must work with a crypto exchange marketing agency that understands compliance from day one.
XDMinds brings that clarity.
Here’s how expert-driven, compliance-aware crypto marketing is structured and why your choice of agency can either propel your platform forward or expose it to unnecessary risk.
Why Compliance Is Non-Negotiable in Crypto Marketing?
Crypto exchanges operate in a highly scrutinized environment. Advertising restrictions, international licensing, and shifting policies across Google, Meta, and other networks have made traditional marketing approaches obsolete.
A marketing agency that doesn’t understand these realities can put your platform at risk of:
Ad account suspensions due to policy violations
Blocked content or flagged assets on social platforms
User distrust from misleading or exaggerated messaging
Delays in campaign approvals or bans in certain regions
Negative PR from non-compliant influencer campaigns
What’s needed is a partner that doesn’t just run ads but understands how to build and execute fully compliant crypto marketing strategies.
Key Services from a Compliance-Ready Crypto Exchange Marketing Agency
XDMinds provides Strategic Crypto Exchange Marketing Services. It brings processes that protect your platform while scaling growth. Here’s what that looks like:
1. Performance Marketing Built Around Platform Rules
Running ads for crypto exchanges is not straightforward. Each network (Google, Meta, Twitter) has strict rules for promotion, including country restrictions, content limitations, and required certifications.
XDMinds helps you:
Navigate ad policy approvals for crypto-related products
Build compliant ad creatives that avoid disallowed claims
Geo-target campaigns in permitted countries.
Monitor ad performance and flag policy-sensitive content early
This ensures your acquisition channels remain active and high-performing , without getting shut down.
2. SEO That Drives Organic Growth Without Risk
Search engine optimization is often misunderstood in crypto. Some agencies rely on aggressive link-building tactics or keyword stuffing , which only leads to penalties.
XDMinds offers:
Clean, white-hat SEO strategies optimized for long-term gains
Keyword research focused on user intent, not manipulative ranking hacks
Blog and website content that aligns with regulatory language
Technical SEO that improves indexability without raising red flags
Organic growth becomes sustainable only when it’s built on sound, policy-respecting foundations.
3. Influencer Campaigns That Avoid Regulatory Pitfalls
Influencers can accelerate awareness — or cause compliance issues if unmanaged. Unregulated endorsements or exaggerated earnings claims have already triggered scrutiny across the industry.
XDMinds ensures:
Influencer agreements include disclaimers and fair-use clauses
Creators are briefed on compliant messaging boundaries
Sponsored content is properly disclosed
Platforms like YouTube, X (Twitter), and Reddit are used responsibly
This protects both the platform and its partners while maintaining trust with the audience.
4. Content Marketing With Built-In Clarity and Compliance
Every piece of content, from a blog post to a product page — must reflect transparency, not promotion disguised as advice. Crypto users are cautious, and regulators are watching.
XDMinds develops content that:
Educates users on trading features, risk, and safety without making financial claims
Provides objective walkthroughs of platform benefits
Uses neutral, fact-based language to retain credibility
Matches tone to audience maturity — from beginners to advanced traders
When done right, content builds user trust without attracting the wrong kind of attention.
5. Community Management That Reflects Brand Integrity
Telegram and Discord communities can quickly spiral if not moderated with a clear code of conduct. FUD, false promises, or financial claims from admins or bots can result in user backlash or worse — legal exposure.
XDMinds handles:
Setting up moderation guidelines and enforcement structures
Monitoring discussions and responding responsibly
Providing localized support teams for multilingual groups
Encouraging responsible engagement without hype tactics
A well-managed community reinforces your exchange’s reliability.
6. Conversion Optimization Without Gimmicks
Many exchanges unknowingly push users away with friction-filled funnels or misleading CTAs. Compliance requires honest communication — even in conversion flows.
With XDMinds, CRO is handled through:
Clean landing pages that set accurate expectations
Transparent calls-to-action and onboarding screens
User flow audits that align design with ethical practices
Removal of any misleading urgency or income claims
The goal isn’t just conversion — it’s sustainable growth based on trust.
7. Analytics That Track Growth Without Breaching Privacy
Data tracking is a key part of crypto marketing, but not all tools are safe. With increasing scrutiny over user data, especially in regions like the EU, campaigns need privacy-conscious tracking systems.
XDMinds supports:
GDPR-compliant tracking setups
Conversion and behavioral analytics that respect user rights
Tag management and data minimization practices
Reports built on clean, ethical data collection
Privacy-first growth is the new standard , and compliance-ready agencies adapt accordingly.
Why Choose XDMinds as Your Crypto Exchange Marketing Agency?
Marketing a crypto exchange is already tough. Add compliance to the equation, and most agencies are simply not equipped.
XDMinds isn’t learning this space — they’re leading it. Every strategy is designed to meet regulatory expectations while delivering user acquisition, retention, and brand strength.

I tried doing a writing prompt on reddit but it wont let me post it so I'm posting it here
I would like to consider that I and Naoki were good friends.
Not as great as friends, where hypothetically I would die for him, but we were chummy enough.
So when I suddenly wake up remembering I saved the douchebag from oncoming traffic because he was too busy spending money on gacha girls to see the truck. I was understandably furious.
My life was FINALLY GONNA START! I finished high school, and I got a scholarship for a college in the Netherlands! It was my dream to become a singer ever since I watched the Bad Romance music video on my mother's computer.
But NOOOOOOOO! I had to throw that all away for my weeaboo classmate because he was too busy ogling at fictional underage women!
It was then I realized where I was. I was sitting in the passenger seat in a moving truck. Looking out the window, I could tell that I'm very much in some unknown part of outer space.
My body looks okay as far as I can tell; I would expect some sort of evidence on my body that I've been run over by a 60,000-pound vehicle, but I feel nothing.
I finally looked at whoever (or whatever) was driving this truck, and I had to catch my jaw from falling to the ground.
The giant man next to me wasn't a human; the exposed skeleton and glowing ethereal eyes were proof enough. But he was still a looker! The skeleton next to me was very bulky and wore a stereotypical trucker outfit; he wore a short-sleeve plaid shirt, a sleeveless jacket, black jeans, and a netback cap that had a skull symbol on it.
His bones were covered by this ectoplasm-looking substance that formed huge and chiseled muscles. and a round gut that would be comfortable to lay on. His head (or, in this case, skull) was the only part of his body that was exposed, but he does have facial hair that looks like aquamarine flames.
The truck driver turned his head towards me, sensing that I was staring at him. His face(?) went from joy to shock to worry to sympathetic. Not sure how I can tell due to no face muscles, but looking at the glowing dots on his eyes is enough to read his emotions, I believe.
"Oh dear... You're not Naoki..."
Ohhhhh I know what this is. I'm being Isekai'd. I got truck-kun'd and I'm being sent to another world of medieval fantasy and Asian waifu's...
"I guess that Naoki was supposed to get hit by that truck and not me?" "Yes that was indeed the intention, but I guess the fates had other things in plan. On behalf of the gods I would like to apologize for the mix-up, and to give you my condolences on your untimely demise."
"You can't just...put me back in my body...can you?"
"Even if I can... There would be nothing to go back to; your body was completely destroyed. If you went back now, you'd spend your time in the mortal realm as a ghost."
I throw my head on the headrest and let myself go, trying not to cry in front of this stud next to me; he's probably seen worse if my suspicions about who he is are correct, but I at least want to keep control of myself; I'll mourn my death as soon as I have the privacy to do so.
The two of us sit in silence as infinity passes us by; it's very nice of the trucker to give me some time to come to terms with my death, but I can feel him giving me quick glances even with my eyes closed.
"Hey, if this is an isekai meant for my friend, shouldn't you be a hot angel or something? You look nothing like the gods or goddesses from anime," the skull-headed driver looks at me with a perplexed look, as if I just said that 2+2=22.
"Am I not?"
Now it's my turn to be confused; obviously, this is nothing like the stuff Naoki likes to read and watch. He also hates driving and finds space boring. The truck driver looks at the non-existent road and snaps his fingers in his enlightenment.
"Ok, so what you are experiencing right now is an illusion; your soul is being transported and placed into a new body as a preparation for being placed into the 'isekai' you will soon be living in. Everything you see before you is designed to keep you from panicking and stressing out over... your last moments."
That makes sense; dying itself is very traumatic, so it would be ideal to put the newly deceased in a situation of comfort, something they can comprehend and stuff.
“As the embodiment of death, I do not have a concrete form; what you see before you is to give you comfort. I was told that I was going to look like a well-endowed goddess of death with snow-like skin and long hair that’s as black as the night sky. But that was for Naoki. May you enlighten me on how I look to you?”
Ohhhhhh fuck, that tracks. A big-titty gothic dommy mommy would have Naoki bursting through his pants; it’s no wonder why the grim reaper looks like a guy I would spread my legs for without second thought. This is all for my pleasure to make me forget that I DIED.
“Are you… really curious?”
“By all means, you don’t have to tell me. Time doesn’t exist here, and we won’t be at your stop until you decide on your load-out to defeat the demon lord, so you can decide on if you want to or not, but I am very interested to know!”
I am absolutely going to regret this. Fuck it, what do I have to lose?
“You… look like the Grim Reaper if he was a truck-driving DILF, and a really hot one; you’re pretty much my type.”
If the driver had eyebrows, it would’ve flown off of his head with how he was staring at me. I bury my face in my hands in shade as I lean forward to make myself look smaller. The truck driver lets out a huge and hearty laugh as he repeatedly smacks my back in amusement.
I really hope I’m going to super hell because I want to throw myself out the window right now.
The truck driver wipes away his tears and clears his throat as he finally calms down.
“Now then! You might already know what’s going on, but I will tell you anyways. You will be transported to a world of fantasy and magic. As the chosen one, you will be granted immense power to match the demon lord’s. Also, as an apology for accidentally harvesting you instead of your companion as well as a reward for your righteous sacrifice, I shall bless you with any skills of your dreams. It's the least we gods can do!”
Really? That sounds amazing. My skills can be ANYTHING, right?”
“Nothing too grand or overpowered; you will have a humble start, but the limit is your imagination!”
Figures. Too much power isn’t really a good thing, but I’m happy that I can be creative about what skills I can get; maybe I can even become extremely powerful either way if I think smart enough.
“Death! I’m in your dept, thank you.”
“By all means! It’s the least I can do with everything you went through! You don’t need to thank me.”
“No really, is there any way I can…. Show you my gratitude?”
I can see a faint glow of curiosity in the Grim Reaper’s eye sockets, which then dims down as he gives me a pitiful smile.
“I am flattered, mortal. But you are way too young for me.”
Damn, it was worth a try. I feel like I was going to regret it if I didn’t shoot my shot before going to the new world. If I know Isekai animes, there are never any hot guys who stay relevant to the story.
Death seems to catch my quick change in mood and starts tapping at the monitor that trucks usually have.
“Take a look at this; I believe this will interest you a lot.”
I look at the screen and see a bunch of monsters, beastfolk, and demonic-looking humans.
“This is the army of the demon lord. He plans to wage war upon humanity and plans to bring ruin upon all life.”
He then swipes the screen to show a group of intimidating and powerful-looking people, 7 in total of mixed genders, with the one in the middle looking the most powerful.
“All you need to do is stop the demon lord and bring peace throughout the lands.”
The one in the middle must be the infamous demon lord, huh? It's a black dragon; he doesn’t seem as gigantic for your run-of-the-mill fire-breathing lizards, but I’m sure he will still dwarf me. He has an intense yet regal look in his amethyst-colored eyes. His entire posture demands respect, and I can tell that he’s very well built, but his armor and clothing are covering up any show of muscles.
“If you keep on swiping, you will see more pictures of the demon lord.”
Peculiar, but hey, don’t mind if I do! The next picture is the dragon leading his army; they all must really respect him a lot, and I could understand; he has a very charismatic air about him.
The next one is the demon lord swinging around a large sword as purple flames dance around him. I have to say that he looks very cool.
This picture is actually very cute; he’s a pretty three-headed dog as a bunch of imp-looking kids run around and crawl on him as if he were a playground set. He doesn’t seem to mind it for some reason.
Why is there a picture of him in his bed sleeping? Why is he naked with the blanket sheets barely covering him? Why does he look like that? A very horny bara artist spent 5 hours drawing him. I don’t think he’s even flexing, but his muscles are huge!
Ok cool, this one is him talking to the three women from the first photo; they seem to be having a tea party, probably talking about plans to take over the world? They all look so casual and calm with each other, as if they’re all old friends. He also has a small and soft smile on his snout. I can't stop staring at it, and it's making me smile as well.
The following photos either show him being intimidatingly epic, scandalous, and seductive, or surprisingly domestic and cute despite his threatening looks. I even look back at the ones I already passed just to see them again.
I finally notice that Death is looking at me with a very knowing look. I can’t stop my face from going a comically dark shade of red as I’ve been caught thirsting over the man I’m supposed to defeat to save the world.
“Do I… have to kill him?”
“I never said that. All you need to do is stop his plans and make sure he won't do it again.”
“At any means? Nobody has to die?”
“If it saves the world, then go nuts! No complaints from here.”
“Even if I… seduce the demon lord through the power of song and music and convince him to not end the world?”
“Sounds like a great idea! Think you’re up for it?”
I look back at the demon lord on the monitor; it seems like a huge stretch. I’m not even supposed to be here. This job is supposed to be for Naoki, he has more knowledge about Isekais and anime, He probably would be a much more better hero than I could ever be…
“It won't hurt to try.”
The truck suddenly comes to a stop, and when I look out the windows, I see the bright sun and a huge valley of grass. The door on my side of the truck suddenly opens, and I taste and smell the pure, non-polluted winds of nature.
“Then go, my hero. Tame the demon lord with your voice and your love. For both sides and for the world.”
I give one last nod to the truck driver and hop off the vehicle and into the new world. The sun feels great, and the noises of nature make a beautiful melody. I think I could get used to this!
“Oh yeah, by the way, where should I—”
Aaaaaaaaand the truck is gone, as if it never existed in the first place. Luckily enough, I think I see civilization an hour’s jog away. It might be a good idea to make myself friendly with the locals if I were to know how this place works.
“Huh, neat…. Wait a minute, how do I—”
A semi-transparent screen appears right in front of me with a video-game-ish sound effect. I believe these are my stats. I don’t really play video games all that much, but I have a sense of what all of these are for.
They all seem very standard, nothing too impressive and all around average. One part of the screen catches my eye.

Step-by-Step Guide to Selling Digital Products with Ease
The digital economy is booming, and selling digital products—like eBooks, courses, templates, or printables—has never been more accessible. With low startup costs and limitless scalability, it’s an ideal venture for creators and entrepreneurs. Here’s how to start your journey effortlessly:
1. Identify Your Niche & Audience
Begin by pinpointing a niche you’re passionate about and that has demand. Research communities on social media, forums, or platforms like Reddit to understand pain points. For example, if you’re skilled at graphic design, consider offering Canva templates for small businesses. Narrowing your focus helps you stand out.
2. Validate Your Idea
Before investing time, validate demand. Use surveys, polls, or pre-sale offers to gauge interest. Share a concept on Instagram or LinkedIn and ask followers if they’d buy it. Tools like Google Forms or Gumroad’s pre-order feature can simplify this step.
3. Create Your Product
Focus on quality and usability. Use tools like Canva for design, Teachable for courses, or Adobe Audition for audio guides. Keep it simple—start with one product (e.g., a PDF workbook) before expanding. Ensure it’s professionally presented and solves a specific problem.
4. Choose a User-Friendly Platform
Select a platform that handles hosting and sales. Options like Gumroad, Ko-fi, or Etsy are beginner-friendly. For more control, use Shopify or WordPress with WooCommerce. Prioritize platforms with built-in marketing tools and analytics.
5. Set Up Payments & Pricing
Integrate secure payment gateways like Stripe or PayPal. Price your product strategically: research competitors, consider value-based pricing (e.g., $29 for a time-saving template bundle), or offer tiered options (basic vs. premium).
6. Launch & Market Smartly
Build anticipation before launching. Share snippets on social media, collaborate with micro-influencers, or offer limited-time discounts. Use email lists (start with free lead magnets) and SEO-friendly product descriptions to drive organic traffic.
7. Prioritize Customer Support
Automate delivery using platforms like SendOwl to avoid manual work. Create a FAQ section and respond promptly to queries. Positive reviews boost credibility, so encourage feedback with follow-up emails.
8. Analyze & Scale
Track sales and customer behavior with analytics tools. Identify top-performing marketing channels and double down. Expand your offerings based on demand—turn a popular eBook into a video course, or bundle products for upsells.

Selling digital products is a rewarding way to monetize your skills. By starting small, validating ideas, and leveraging the right tools, you can build a sustainable online business with minimal friction. Ready to launch? Your audience is waiting!

Promote Your Fiverr Gig & Boost Sales With SEO
Are you struggling to get sales on your Fiverr gig? With millions of freelancers competing for attention, ranking your gig on Fiverr and search engines is crucial. This is where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes in. By optimizing your Fiverr gig with the right keywords, descriptions, and external backlinks, you can boost your visibility, drive more traffic, and increase sales. In this guide, we’ll explore how to use SEO effectively to promote your Fiverr gig and attract more buyers.
1. Understanding Fiverr SEO
Fiverr SEO refers to the optimization techniques that improve the ranking of your gig within Fiverr’s search results. Fiverr uses an algorithm that considers various factors such as keywords, gig performance, reviews, and order completion rate. By optimizing these elements, you increase the chances of appearing in Fiverr’s top search results, leading to more traffic and sales.
Fiverr’s Gig Ranking Factors:
Relevant Keywords in the gig title, description, and tags
High-Quality Gig Images and Videos to attract buyers
Competitive Pricing and compelling offers
Positive Customer Reviews and Ratings
Fast Response Time and Order Completion Rate
Engagement Metrics such as clicks, views, and orders
2. Optimizing Your Fiverr Gig with SEO
a) Keyword Research for Fiverr Gigs
Just like Google, Fiverr ranks gigs based on relevant keywords. To find the best keywords:
Use Fiverr’s search bar and check auto-suggestions
Analyze top-ranking competitors’ gigs for common terms
Use SEO tools like Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, and Semrush to find related keywords
Focus on long-tail keywords like “affordable WordPress website designer” instead of just “WordPress designer”
b) Writing an SEO-Optimized Gig Title
Your gig title should be clear, engaging, and keyword-rich. Example: ❌ Bad: “I will design a website” ✅ Good: “I Will Design a Professional WordPress Website for Businesses”
c) Crafting an Optimized Fiverr Gig Description
Your gig description must:
Include primary and secondary keywords naturally
Highlight your expertise, unique selling points, and benefits
Use bullet points for easy readability
End with a clear call-to-action (CTA) encouraging buyers to place an order
Example:
“Looking for a professional WordPress website designer? I specialize in creating responsive, SEO-friendly websites that drive traffic and conversions. Whether you need a business site, blog, or eCommerce store, I’ve got you covered. Order now and let’s get started!”
d) Choosing the Right Gig Tags
Fiverr allows up to 5 gig tags, so choose the most relevant ones. Example for a WordPress gig: ✅ WordPress website, website design, SEO website, responsive website, web developer
e) Uploading High-Quality Gig Images and Videos
Eye-catching visuals help convert visitors into buyers. Use:
HD images with readable text
Short promotional videos (Fiverr prioritizes gigs with videos in search results)
Portfolio samples to showcase previous work
3. Promoting Your Fiverr Gig Outside Fiverr
a) Driving Traffic from Google
Optimizing your Fiverr gig for Google search can drive external traffic.
Create a blog post on Medium, LinkedIn, or your website linking to your gig
Use SEO-friendly meta descriptions with relevant keywords
Share guest posts on industry websites linking to your Fiverr profile
b) Sharing Your Gig on Social Media
Leverage social platforms to get more visibility:
Facebook & LinkedIn Groups: Share valuable insights and subtly promote your gig
Twitter & Instagram: Use relevant hashtags like #FiverrGigs, #FreelanceServices, #HireMe

Where can I post or share my writing?
First, figure out why you want to post your writing.
Do you just want to put it somewhere, anywhere, on the internet where people could see it?
Understand that it is rare for readers to look for books or short stories on random people’s blogs, reddit, or social media. It is unlikely that simply sharing your writing online will lead to much attention to it. You’ll need to do other work to drive traffic to your work and encourage people to read, comment, pay, or whatever else you want them to do.
But if you just need a place to host your work for whatever reason, there are tons of options for creating a blog or personal website where you can post your work - here’s an overview of some of the top platforms.
Some people like to make a personal subreddit to post their work. I don’t recommend this because reddit is not meant to be a static content hosting site, but if that’s what you want to do, go nuts.
Some people suggest using Archive of Our Own to post original works. This is a violation of their TOS. While a lot of people do post non-fandom writing to that website, I absolutely don’t recommend using that website in ways that its creators have explicitly said that it is not for.
Do you want to monetize your writing and post it somewhere where people can pay for it?
Understand that it is very difficult to monetize (make money on) writing just by posting it online. But there are websites that let you do that, if you can consistently share quality content that readers want, and do the marketing work to attract paying readers.
Some platforms you can use to try this include Substack, Patreon, or Wattpad.
Always be careful to read the terms or contract of any website you upload your writing to. Some platforms that make big promises about helping you profit off your writing can get you stuck in predatory or scammy situations.
See more about making money on fiction writing here.
Do you want constructive feedback from other writers to help you improve your work?
Simply posting your work anywhere you can find, including various writing forums, will not guarantee you quality - or any - constructive feedback. You’ll need to find a community explicitly for this sort of thing, and you’ll need to make sure you are following that community’s rules.
Always polish your work as best you can and make sure it’s the absolute best you can make it before posting for feedback - that ensures that you get more useful feedback and are not wasting people’s time.
Remember that spending the time to read someone else’s writing and give them helpful feedback, for free, is not something anyone else is obligated to do, and if they do it, it’s a huge favor! Be respectful of communities you’re posting in and follow all their rules. Give critiques in addition to asking for them.
Places to share writing for constructive feedback:
Scribophile
Destructive Readers
Writing.com
Critique Circle
However, just posting your work to a general critique forum may not get you quality, in depth, helpful feedback from someone who understands your genre. You’ll be better off cultivating one or two close collaborators and friends who are interested in and excited about your work and can help you out with it. If you do happen to find someone on one of those critique sites who seems to get what you’re doing and what you’re trying to do, consider reaching out to them personally to see if they want to be friends and critique partners.
Here’s my post about how to find “beta readers” or critique partners.
Do you want help attracting readers with a focus on prestige, attention, and portfolio building?
Instead of posting your work on any website or platform that just lets anyone upload their writing, you can submit your work for publication to an online magazine. This means anyone who reads or subscribes to that magazine can find your work, and you get a “publication credit.”
(This really only applies to short work like short stories, poems, or essays - for information about publishing a novel, see here.)
You’ll want to find a magazine or publication that takes writing in the same style, length, and topic that you’re trying to publish. Their website will have instructions for how to submit to them for consideration.
Advice on submitting to lit mags and other magazines:
How To Submit To Literary Journals
Submitting To Literary Magazines

Platforms to search for a place to submit:

Whelp i need to vent to you: so my mom takes me to work out on Saturdays so i dont have to drive back afterwords (muscle disease is a bitch)… only today she was working the yard up until we had to leave. I gave her a 10-15 heads up, she finally came in like 5 minutes before the latest we should leave. Goes up stairs to take a shower and by the time she gets back down stairs it is past 12:35, I am stressed out of my mind because traffic is always hit or a miss and we never arrive with time to spare. So I’m upset we’re going to be late and my mom tells me to stop being so bitchy with her, I tell her that I really don’t like being late. She argues when ARE we ever late???? I tell her that we periodically get there with like only a minute to spare… and that’s us leaving at 12:25! She says if I’m going to be so bitchy about this I can drive myself (I.e stop being such a bitch I don’t HAVE to drive if you are going to complain like this) long story short I drove my self, was late, even WITH good traffic.
Sorry to dump this on you but I don’t think my mom realizes how unprofessional and dickish it is to arrive late bc you aren’t respecting the time of the person you are going to meet (let alone scheduling a service with them) , or that she doesn’t seem to comprehend or care about how bad my anxiety is and how it literally rules my life and causes physical distress. I had the shakes because of this… also cried in the car omw because I literally can’t express anxiety about being late without being called a bitch.
I might have been a bitch, probably my tone which she and my dad bitch to me about… and heaven forbid if I call THEM out…
I’m now sitting in the parking lot outside the gym refusing to drive home because I need to cool off. I may have been a bitch, but at least I respect the time of others… anyways, to quote Reddit
AITA??
HONEY MY LOVE YOU ARE NOT THE ASSHOLE!!! IF I COULD I WOULD RUN OVER TO YOU AND GIVE YOU THE BIGGEST HUG IMAGINABLE THEN GO GET ICECREAM OR SOME KIND OF SWEET TREAT OR ANY KIND OF TREAT
Holy shit my guy I feel you on stressing over being late and getting anxiety over such things! I like being early to things or right on time and dear lord just reading I’m feeling anxious! Yeah no you were stressed and maybe it came across in your tone but seriously still not in the wrong and it’s wild to me to think she called you bitchy when she offered to take you because you worked your day around her anyway it’s decided we are going to go run off and live together now and I’ll take you anywhere you want to (… I have a bit of driver anxiety too don’t like long distances but I’ll get over it for you my love)
And please always feel free to vent I’m here for you 🥰😘 scream into the void which is also called my face and I’ll give you hugs and kisses afterwards
#… I would say do you want me to beat up them but I’m not going to whack a mom#instead I’ll get you a treat#honeybeezgobzzzzz#honey my wife#ask#… I would say I’m your new mom but that feels weird 😂

So why tf are you living with a zionist? And why tf did you get married to one in the first place?
I've gotten anons asking invasive questions about my relationship with Troy and why I have yet to end it, and I've deleted each one. I don't know if you're the same anon, but I'm guessing you follow me because my latest #aviisleaving post has no notes and was less than an hour old when I received this ask.
But.
Due to recent events in this fandom, abuse has become a spotlight topic. I don't know if I would call my marriage abusive or not. But whether or not it is, my situation and my reasons for staying in it for the time being is similar to what abusive victims face. There are many reasons not to leave, to bide your time before leaving, and to not be able to leave at the time or even at all, and I think it's an important discussion to have.
I'll start by explaining why I'm with him in the first place. We used to be closer ideologically. He wasn't always this far right and (this is where I make a confession that idk if I'm actually ready to make, but here we go) I wasn't always this far left. Seven years does a lot to change people, for better or worse. I was a left-leaning centerist, he was a right-leaning centerist, and we met in the middle to either compromise or peacefully agree to disagree.
We were both nerdy autistic weirdos with the same taste in music, same sense of humor, and enough ideologically in common to make peace. He got along well with my daughter and was quick to let me know that, if we ever got married, he'd consider her his kid as if she was his own.
I'm hyper-romantic. I see romance basically everywhere I look, and I fall in love hard and fast. He wasn't used to having a woman (my egg hadn't cracked yet, we'll get to that) who wasn't an absolute bitch be interested in him, so he fell harder than he ever had. We also both hated our situation at home, and I wouldn't pretend that wasn't a factor. We rushed the relationship and got married before we'd been together a year.
Everything changed for me when I realized I was queer.
I found the community I'd been denying for my whole life, and I learned a lot. He was an ally then. A flawed one, but he was willing to try. He was supportive of me when I came out, first as bisexual and then as nonbinary.
But everything changed for him when the wreck happened. He was driving with our mutual best friend in the front passenger seat when he lost control on black ice and slid into oncoming traffic. Our friend died at the scene, and Troy's injuries left him permanently disabled. He's since regained his independence, but he'll always struggle with his left arm.
We both took solace in our faith (I'd still consider myself a Christian, feel how you feel about that, I've heard it all) but he got lost in Christian Reddit, then Christian TikTok. Christian TikTok led to Evangelical TikTok, which led to transphobic, homophobic, MAGA, and zionist TikTok.
He ate that shit up. He fucking chugged that kool-aid. It gave him something besides himself to be angry at.
Grief opened my mind and closed his. It softened my heart and hardened his.
It just went downhill from there.
And now I can't live with this. I know he can't either, and the only reason he hasn't initiated a separation is because 1) there's no biblical grounds for divorce because I haven't cheated on him, and 2) he doesn't think a fat, autistic, disabled nerd in his 30s with a small dick and $30,000 in medical debt could ever find a godly wife. His words, not mine.
So if I want what's best for myself, my daughter, and yes, even for Troy, I need to be the one to leave.
So why haven't I yet?
First and foremost, money. We live in a society blah blah blah. Our society isn't friendly single mothers, queer people, or disabled people, and I'm about to be all three. I need to be 100% certain that I can support not only myself, but a high support needs autistic teen daughter who will likely never be able to live independently.
We currently only have one working vehicle, and aren't in a financial place to remedy that. I will need my own form of transportation if I'm going to be on my own.
All of my preparations (housing, transportation, moving logistics, etc) will have to be enacted quickly and perfectly. Surgical precision packing, moving, and stocking up on groceries so I don't have to leave the house for a while within 24 hours. Why? Because his family can't have any forewarning. I would not be safe. Currently, I'm not safe emotionally, but if I mess up even one step off the plan, if I'm not perfect in my exit strategy, I won't be safe physically, and neither will my daughter. I won't elaborate further on that.
Not only do I have to leave perfectly, but I have to be 150% positive months in advance that I can keep perfect. Because he has friends and family in places that could be dangerous for me, not the least of which is CPS. I fully expect to have them at my door by the end of the first month. I can't give them cause to take my daughter, even if it's the smallest, stupidest thing. Especially since they'll already have a small, stupid thing. Namely, my queerness and my disability.
Because I'm under no impression whatsoever that Troy won't out me to every single person who I can't safely be out to the instant he gets the chance. I will have no more help from (and possibly no contact with) my family. I will be completely alone. My support system will be gone forever. I have to be emotionally, mentally, and financially ready for that.
And I am none of those things right now.
And until I am, I have to do whatever I can to keep myself safe enough to bide my time for the right opportunity.

Do you think Reddit is ever going to come back? I don’t particularly miss it, but there are some parts that are missed, and I mean tumblr is so much nicer, and I don’t wanna offend any of the wonderful tumblr users, I think I’m just more used to Reddit. (Yes, I am overthinking an anonymous ask)
Reddit is absolutely coming back. It's mostly, from a user perspective, the same as it was before already. Most subreddits only participated in a 2 day blackout, which had basically no effect besides demonstrating how widely disliked the API changes were by the user base. Even the ongoing gimmick protests on subs like r/pics, r/interestingasfuck, etc still bring traffic to the site. They still drive user interaction with the site and still bring money to Reddit. The only way to effectively protest these changes is to stop using Reddit, or make others stop using it by privating subs and drawing the bases to other websites (aka what 196 did, and thus why many of us are here). This is why the 2 day blackout was a stupid idea to begin with, it was big for publicity, but had little meaningful effect. After those 2 days, it's the same as if it never happened, but now with worse API restrictions.
So yes, Reddit is basically back to normal. You can still participate in all the communities you were part of before, but they'll probably have less and worse moderation, meaning probably more bots, reposts, bigotry, etc.
Personally I still use Reddit, just not nearly as much as I did before. Now I use it for the communities which I can't find parallels to on Tumblr. It's a unique platform which I already know the reins to, and I'd love for it to go back to normal, but it's not likely because of the profit there is to be gained by the company with the new changes. Ultimately, it's your choice if you want to go back there or not.

SEO Challenges - [Know these Top 7 to Rank Higher]
SEO challenges might look big, but you can solve them too with timely efforts.
In this blog post, I can shed some light on the top 7 challenges faced by SEO professionals including the latest challenge buzz by Search Generative Experience [SGE], and provide insights on how to overcome them.
Do you know? - “Without a strong SEO foundation, you will completely rely on paid spend” – Conductor
SEO Challenges:
1. Changing Search Engine Algorithms:
One of the biggest challenges in SEO is keeping up with the ever-changing search algorithms.
Google, in particular, updates its algorithm multiple times a year, which means that what worked yesterday may not work today.
To stay on top of these changes, it's crucial to keep yourself informed through industry blogs, forums, newsletters, and conferences.
Keep following the blogs of Ahrefs, Semrush, Search Engine Round Table, Search Engine Journal, and Search Engine Land to get yourself updated.
“Because SEO is a dynamic field that involves frequent algorithm updates and evolving best practices, you’ll need to continue your SEO education and keep up with industry changes” – Semrush
2. Conducting Keyword Research:
Another challenge is keyword research. Choosing the right keywords is essential for optimizing your website's content and driving organic traffic.
However, finding the right balance between high search volume and low competition can be tricky.
To overcome this challenge, I suggest using premium keyword research tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Long Tail Pro, or Keyword Tool to identify relevant keywords with high search volume and low competition.
You might also get some initial keyword research and content ideas from using other SEO tools like Google Keyword Planner, Answer The Public, Also Asked, and Exploding Topics.
You can further supplement your efforts using Quora, and Reddit platforms for most SEO-burning issues discussed, commented, and shared via their forums and communities respectively.
“Your keyword research should go beyond merely evaluating search volume and keyword difficulty to discovering the intent, topical galaxy, audience characteristics, and place in the buyer’s journey for every keyword” – seoClarity
3. Monitoring Technical SEO Issues:
Technical SEO issues can also pose a significant challenge. This includes problems like slow page speed, broken links, indexing errors, duplicate content, and mobile-friendliness.
These issues not only affect your website's user experience but also impact your search engine rankings.
To tackle technical SEO challenges, perform regular audits of your website using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs Webmaster Tools, Semrush, or Screaming Frog.
Address any issues that are identified promptly.
“Technical SEO, in its basic form, is ensuring your website has a good technical standing so search engines can crawl, index and rank it well” – SEOTesting
4. Creating High-Quality Content:
Creating high-quality content is another challenge in SEO.
Gone are the days when keyword stuffing could get you to rank higher on search engine results pages (SERPs). Today, search engines prioritize content that provides value to users.
To overcome this challenge, focus on creating informative, valuable, and engaging content that solves your target audience's problems.
Incorporate relevant keywords naturally and aim for content that covers topics comprehensively. Long-form content at all times is not necessary.
Unless the search intent is met as required, even short-form blog posts and articles serve the purpose.
Always focus on people-first approach content than SEO-first approach content, though you can optimize later.
“To excel in today’s evolving digital landscape, content creators must produce high-quality content that provides value and captures their target audience’s attention” – Search Engine Journal
5. Link Building or Backlinks:
Link building is yet another SEO challenge. Building high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites is crucial for improving your website's authority and rankings.
However, acquiring these backlinks can be time-consuming and challenging. To overcome this challenge, focus on creating link-worthy content that others would naturally want to link to.
Additionally, engage in guest blogging opportunities or collaborate with influencers in your industry to earn valuable backlinks.
Engaging in buying backlinks goes against Google's rules, and this approach might not be effective in the long run.
On the other hand, building links through genuine relationships is becoming more valuable and influential nowadays.
Internal linking between relevant website pages or blog posts is also important to remember for better search engine rankings.
“According to Aira’s State of Link Building report, guest blogging is the third most popular link building strategy, with 47% of surveyed SEOs using it as their go-to” – Ahrefs
6. Measuring SEO Performance:
Measuring and analyzing SEO performance can be a challenge.
It's important to track key metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, keyword rankings, and any others based on your business-specific to assess the effectiveness of your SEO efforts.
Utilize tools like Google Analytics [GA-4] and Google Search Console [GSC] to gain insights into these metrics and make data-driven decisions.
In fact, according to many SEO experts, using these tools frequently will help you remain ahead by giving you more content ideas, allowing you to establish new SEO benchmarks, and monitoring a variety of user engagement behaviors.
Personally, I regularly check my GSC account to see which keywords my website is ranking for and to come up with fresh ideas for blog posts, and increasing my topical authority.
“Organic traffic (42% votes), followed by conversions (37% votes) and rankings (14% votes) are the top 3 metrics that are most effective in measuring SEO performance” – The State of Technical SEO Report 2023 from Aira & Women in Tech SEO
7. Influence of AI Search Generative Experience [SGE]:
You may know that search engines such as Google and Bing have incorporated AI into their search processes.
While this is still being developed and experimented with, certain bloggers, SEO experts, and website owners have noticed lower click-through rates (CTRs) and decreased organic traffic.
This is because AI-generated search or Search Generative Experience (SGE) results are taking up some of the visibility that was previously directed toward their content.
Simply put, organic results are further pushed down, which reduces the visibility of information. Although SGE doesn't affect every niche-based keyword or phrase, the search landscape is evolving.
Currently, it's necessary to get ready to adapt to this situation.
To enhance the visibility of your website content, focus on generating high-quality content and incorporating a variety of visual elements such as images, infographics, and embedded videos.
“SGE is still in its experimental stage, and many web and SEO marketers are still figuring out how generative AI can impact marketers and users in the future” – HubSpot
Pro-Tip: Make your website or blog mobile-friendly or mobile-optimized and, [if necessary], hire an SEO professional or agency to meet your business-specific needs, and get optimum results.
That being said, SEO isn't a "quick fix" for ranking; it's an ongoing process that requires constant effort and monitoring.
“Search results differ drastically between mobile and desktop. Google recently moved to mobile-first indexing, reflecting the importance and predominance of mobile compared to desktop” – Conductor

In conclusion, SEO challenges are part and parcel of the ever-evolving digital landscape.
By staying up-to-date with algorithm changes, conducting thorough keyword research, addressing technical issues promptly, creating valuable content, building high-quality backlinks, measuring SEO performance effectively, and sailing through SGE, you can overcome these challenges, and achieve your SEO goals.
Remember, persistence and adaptability are key in this dynamic field.

How to Choose the Best Driving School in Toronto: A Complete Guide

Choosing the right driving school is a key step toward becoming a safe, skilled, and confident driver. Whether you're a teenager working toward your G2 license or an adult ready to begin driving, finding the right MTO Approved Driving School in Toronto can shape your entire learning experience.
There are many driving schools across the GTA—some excellent, others not as reliable. To help you make the right decision, we’ve created this straightforward guide that will walk you through how to choose the top-rated driving school in Toronto that fits your needs.
Make Sure the School is MTO Approved
The first and most important step is confirming that the school is approved by Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO). Only an MTO Approved Driving School in Toronto can issue an MTO certificate that is recognized by insurance providers and counts toward your licensing process.
Why it matters:
MTO-approved schools follow strict provincial guidelines.
You receive official certification after completing the program.
Your training hours are recognized by the MTO.
How to check: Visit the MTO website and search the list of approved schools by name or location. If a school isn’t listed, it’s not MTO-approved.
Meet the Instructors
Instructors play a critical role in how quickly and comfortably you learn to drive. Their communication style, patience, and local experience all impact your success.
What to look for:
Certified Class G driving instructors
Experience teaching in Toronto’s busy traffic
Clear, respectful, and supportive teaching approach
Questions to ask:
How long have you been teaching in Toronto?
Which test centres do you train for?
How do you support nervous or first-time drivers?
Meeting or speaking with the instructor in advance is often helpful.
Local Knowledge is Key in Toronto
Toronto roads present unique challenges. From dealing with streetcars and cyclists to navigating rush hour and complex intersections, local experience makes a difference.
Why local knowledge helps:
Instructors are familiar with traffic conditions and TTC interactions.
You'll learn in neighbourhoods like East York, North York, or Scarborough.
You'll be trained on roads near test centres like Downsview, Metro East, or Etobicoke.
A top-rated driving school in Toronto will prepare you for both the road test and real city driving.
Read Reviews (Look Beyond Star Ratings)
Online reviews are an important part of your research. Instead of focusing on the star rating alone, read what former students have to say.
What to look for in reviews:
Comments about instructor patience and professionalism
Mentions of clean, well-maintained vehicles
Feedback about passing the G2 or G on the first attempt
Reviews from students in your area
Use platforms like Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Reddit for reliable insights.
Understand What’s Included in the Course
Not all schools offer the same course features. Before enrolling, understand what you’re getting for your money.
A complete course should include:
In-class or online theory instruction
In-car driving lessons with a certified instructor
Night and highway driving practice
Mock road test preparation
MTO certification upon successful completion
Ask for a detailed breakdown of what’s included.
Look for Flexible Scheduling
Driving lessons should fit your schedule. A good MTO Approved Driving School in Toronto will offer flexible options to suit students who work or attend school.
Ask if they offer:
Evening and weekend availability
Pick-up and drop-off service
Online booking or rescheduling
Consistency with one instructor
Flexibility allows you to learn comfortably and on your own timeline.
Get a Transparent Price Breakdown
Price is an important factor, but it shouldn’t be the only one. Be sure the school gives you a full breakdown of costs upfront.
Questions to ask:
Does the price cover the entire MTO-certified course?
Are taxes, road test fees, and certification included?
What is the policy on cancellations or missed lessons?
Typical Toronto rates (2025):
Full course: $550–$800
In-car lessons: $40–$60/hour
Car rental for test day: $80–$120
A top-rated driving school in Toronto will clearly explain all charges before you commit.
Check the Training Vehicles
Training vehicles should be clean, modern, and in good condition. You’ll spend a lot of time in the car, so comfort and safety are essential.
What to look for:
Dual brake system for instructor control
Working mirrors, lights, and cameras
Heating and air conditioning
No mechanical issues or unpleasant smells
Learning is easier in a well-maintained vehicle.
Pick a School Near Your Home or Test Centre
Location can influence how convenient your lessons are. Choose a school close to your home, workplace, or the test centre where you’ll take your exam.
Why this helps:
Easier access to your lessons
More practice on roads where you’ll be tested
Reduced travel time and fewer scheduling conflicts
Most students in Toronto choose test centres like Metro East, Downsview, or Etobicoke.
Ask About G2 and G Test Preparation
Your end goal is to pass the G2 or G test. A good MTO Approved Driving School in Toronto will prepare you with more than just the basics.
Ask if the school includes:
Practice on actual test routes
Mock tests that simulate real exam conditions
Use of the school car on test day
Being well-prepared boosts your confidence and improves your chance of passing on the first try.
Ensure One-on-One Driving Lessons
Driving lessons should be personal. In-car training should be one-on-one so the instructor can focus entirely on your progress.
Why one-on-one lessons matter:

Off Page SEO Strategies for New Websites: From Zero to Authority

Launching a new website can feel like shouting into the void. You’ve built something great, your content is live, and your on-page SEO is solid—but the traffic just isn’t flowing. This is where off page SEO techniques become your secret weapon. They help establish your site’s credibility in the eyes of search engines by earning backlinks, building mentions, and generating buzz. If you're wondering how to improve off page SEO and gain that essential trust factor, this guide walks you through beginner-friendly strategies to start building your domain authority from scratch.
Why Off Page SEO Matters for New Websites
When search engines like Google determine where your pages rank, they don’t just look at what's on your website—they also evaluate how others perceive your site. That's the essence of off page SEO strategies: increasing your visibility and reputation through activities that happen outside your own domain. For new site owners, it’s a foundational part of growth and a proven path from zero traffic to brand authority.
Build with Brand Mentions and Trust Signals
Before you chase backlinks, think about trust. Off Page SEO Sites are most effective when your site already has consistent branding across the web. Start with these essentials:
Create consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) info across Local SEO Sites.
Submit your site to Directory Submission Sites relevant to your niche.
Get listed on free backlinks sites with a good reputation.
Engage on Q&A Submission Sites like Quora or Reddit to gain trust and visibility.
These foundational tasks send positive signals to both users and search engines, contributing to better rankings over time.
Guest Posting: Authority Through Contribution
One of the most scalable off page seo techniques is guest posting. It involves writing valuable content for established blogs in your niche in exchange for a backlink. This isn’t about spamming low-quality platforms—it’s about strategically placing your voice in front of targeted audiences.
Use vetted guest posting sites that align with your niche and have high domain authority. Not only does this increase traffic, but it also positions you as a thought leader. Many Best SEO practices still place guest posting at the top of the authority-building list.
Here’s what to look for when targeting guest post opportunities:
Relevance to your industry
Active readership and engagement
Editorial guidelines that favor high-quality content
Avoid sites that sell links outright, as they can harm rather than help your SEO.
Web 2.0 and Article Submission: Don’t Skip These Classics
Despite being older methods, Web 2.0 Blogging Sites and article submission sites are still effective when done correctly. Platforms like Medium, Tumblr, and WordPress.com let you create content-rich profiles that can link back to your site.
The trick is to make sure the content is:
Original (not copy-pasted from your blog)
Informative and engaging
Properly linked with context to your main site
While many overlook free backlink submission sites, combining them with a consistent content strategy can help diversify your link profile.
Visual SEO: Tap into Image and Video Submissions
Don’t underestimate the value of visual platforms. Submitting your original graphics and infographics to image submission sites like Pinterest, Flickr, and Imgur can help you earn DoFollow backlinks sites 2025 are beginning to prioritize. These visuals not only attract backlinks but also drive direct traffic.
Make sure your visuals include:
A clear filename with keywords
Alt text for accessibility
A backlink in the description wherever possible
Combining image marketing with blog content boosts your discoverability on both search engines and visual platforms.
Forum Participation and Q&A Engagement
For niche websites, joining conversations in active communities can bring real value. Participate in relevant forums and Q&A Submission Sites to:
Answer questions
Link back to relevant blog posts
Build long-term authority
This is one of the most natural off page seo strategies because you're adding value before dropping links. Choose threads that relate to your services or content. Over time, this can lead to organic backlinks and direct site visits.
Citations, Reviews, and Local Trust Boosters
Especially if you offer website and SEO services your local reputation matters. Boost it by:
Submitting your site to Local SEO Sites
Encouraging customers to leave reviews on Google and Yelp
Keeping your business info consistent across platforms
These local trust signals can support your broader backlink profile and are often overlooked in off page seo checklists.
What Makes High-Quality Backlink?
When evaluating a potential link source—whether it’s from Directory Submission Sites or guest posting sites—check:
Domain Authority (DA): Preferably above 30
Relevance to your niche
Traffic stats and engagement metrics
DoFollow vs. NoFollow balance
Referencing a high DA backlink sites list before outreach can save hours of wasted effort and keep your strategy aligned with Best SEO Company standards.
Off Page SEO Checklist for Beginners
Here’s a simplified off page seo checklist to follow:
Claim your business on local directories.
Engage on forums and Q&A Submission Sites.
Start with free article submission sites and Web 2.0 Blogging Sites.
Create compelling visual content for image submission sites.
Reach out to relevant guest posting sites.
Track backlinks using tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush.
Regularly update listings on Directory Submission Sites and Local SEO Sites.
This checklist, when implemented consistently, ensures your site steadily grows its backlink profile and trustworthiness.

How to Increase Traffic on an Article Website: A Complete Guide to Sustainable Growth
The internet is saturated with content. Millions of articles are published every day, covering every conceivable topic. So how do you get eyes on your article website? How do you increase traffic in a way that’s sustainable, cost-effective, and scalable?
Whether you're running a niche publication, a general article hub, or a content-driven business site, attracting and retaining visitors requires more than just publishing new articles. It demands a strategic mix of SEO, content marketing, social engagement, user experience optimization, and smart monetization.
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore proven and actionable strategies to drive traffic to your article website—both organically and through amplification tactics.
1. Master Your Niche and Target Audience
The first step in growing traffic is understanding who your ideal readers are. A generic article website can struggle unless it offers laser-focused value to a specific audience.
Steps to Define Your Niche:
Identify the core topics you cover and why.
Analyze competitors to see what gaps you can fill.
Build reader personas: age, interests, behaviors, goals.
Tools to Help:
Google Analytics (demographic insights)
Facebook Audience Insights
Surveys and polls
Reddit or Quora (to discover popular pain points)
Once you know your niche and your audience, you can craft content that is hyper-relevant—which keeps readers coming back and sharing it with others.
2. Create In-Depth, Evergreen Content That Ranks
Not all content is created equal. For long-term traffic growth, focus on evergreen articles—pieces that remain relevant for months or even years.
Qualities of High-Traffic Articles:
Solve a persistent problem
Contain original insights, data, or expert quotes
Are over 1,500 words with comprehensive coverage
Include internal and external links
Feature visual aids like charts or infographics
For example, instead of “Latest SEO Trends 2025,” write “How to Do SEO for Beginners: A Step-by-Step Guide.” The latter remains relevant over time and is more likely to be searched consistently.
3. Do Thorough Keyword Research
Search engine traffic is often the most reliable and scalable. To rank well in Google, you need to target the right keywords—the terms people are actually typing in when looking for information.
How to Do It:
Use tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, or Google Keyword Planner.
Identify long-tail keywords with lower competition but decent search volume.
Create article clusters around core keywords. For instance, “How to Save Money” can be your pillar content, while subtopics include “Best Apps to Save Money” or “Saving Money on Groceries.”
Incorporate keywords naturally into your titles, meta descriptions, headers, and content.
4. Optimize On-Page SEO
Once you choose the right keywords, the next step is optimizing your article pages so search engines can properly index and rank them.
On-Page SEO Best Practices:
Title tag with your focus keyword
Meta description that entices clicks
URL slugs that are clean and keyword-based
Use H1, H2, H3 headers with structured formatting
Include internal links to related articles
Add image alt text with descriptive tags
Ensure mobile optimization
Bonus Tip: Use a schema markup plugin to help search engines show rich snippets, which can significantly improve your click-through rate.
5. Maintain a Consistent Publishing Schedule
Consistency plays a key role in both SEO and audience retention. Google prefers fresh content, and users expect regular updates.
Scheduling Ideas:
Post 2–4 times per week for fast growth
Publish weekly if you're focused on quality and depth
Repurpose old content to keep your feed active
Use content calendars (like Trello or Notion) to plan ahead and maintain consistency.
6. Repurpose Articles into Other Content Formats
You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Repurposing allows you to get more visibility from each article you write.
Repurposing Ideas:
Turn an article into a YouTube video or TikTok explainer
Convert data-heavy articles into infographics
Share article summaries as LinkedIn posts or Twitter threads
Compile related articles into an eBook or PDF guide
This multiplies your reach and attracts audiences from multiple platforms who may then click through to your main site.
7. Build Backlinks to Increase Domain Authority
Backlinks from reputable websites are like upvotes in Google’s eyes. The more quality backlinks you have, the higher your articles will rank.
How to Build Backlinks:
Guest post on other websites and link back to your best articles
Reach out to blogs and suggest your article as a resource
Use HARO (Help A Reporter Out) to get quoted in media
Submit your content to directories, aggregators, and communities
Create link-worthy content like statistics roundups or original research
Avoid spammy link exchanges. Google penalizes unnatural backlink schemes.
8. Promote Articles Across Social Media
Don’t wait for readers to find you—go where they already are. Social media is a great tool to drive instant traffic and grow your audience.
Platform Tips:
Facebook: Share in groups, schedule posts, and boost top content
Twitter/X: Use relevant hashtags, tag thought leaders, and thread your article into multiple tweets
Pinterest: Design vertical pins with Canva and link back to your article (especially effective for niches like food, travel, home, and health)
LinkedIn: Perfect for professional articles and case studies
Instagram & TikTok: Tease articles with reels, carousels, or short explainers
Each platform requires its own content style, so don’t just cross-post—customize.
9. Build and Leverage an Email List
Your email list is your direct line to loyal readers. Unlike social media, where algorithms dictate visibility, emails land right in your audience’s inbox.
How to Grow Your List:
Offer content upgrades (PDFs, eBooks, templates)
Use exit-intent popups
Include inline signup forms within articles
Promote exclusive newsletters
Once you have subscribers, send regular updates with your best new articles and curated content. Make the email valuable enough that people want to open it.
10. Collaborate with Influencers and Other Sites
Strategic partnerships can exponentially increase visibility.
Collaborations to Try:
Invite guest writers with their own following
Run joint webinars or events
Feature experts in your articles and ask them to share
Create roundup posts (e.g., "15 Experts on the Future of Remote Work")
Tagging or mentioning collaborators increases your chance of being shared with their audience—driving qualified traffic back to your site.
11. Improve Page Speed and User Experience
A slow, clunky website discourages visitors. Google considers page speed and UX as ranking factors, too.
Optimization Checklist:
Use lazy loading for images
Compress media files (e.g., TinyPNG)
Choose a lightweight theme or framework
Use a fast hosting provider (e.g., SiteGround, Kinsta)
Remove unnecessary plugins or scripts
Use Core Web Vitals as a guide to improve UX
A fast, smooth, mobile-friendly website keeps users engaged and coming back.
12. Monitor Analytics and Optimize Accordingly
You can’t improve what you don’t measure. Tracking data allows you to see what works, what doesn’t, and where to focus.
Tools to Use:
Google Analytics: Monitor page views, bounce rate, time on site
Google Search Console: Track rankings and CTRs
Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity: Heatmaps and user behavior
Ahrefs/Semrush: Backlink profile and SEO performance
Check which articles are getting the most traffic and conversions. Update top-performing pages regularly, and use them to inspire future content.
13. Create Interactive and Community-Driven Content
Engagement boosts traffic. People are more likely to share and revisit websites where they feel involved.
Engagement Ideas:
Add polls or quizzes to articles
Allow comments and respond to them
Host challenges or writing contests
Feature user-submitted content
Community builds trust. Trust builds traffic.
14. Use Push Notifications
Push notifications are a powerful way to alert returning users about new content.
Best Practices:
Use tools like OneSignal or PushEngage
Offer clear opt-in and don’t spam users
Send notifications for top-tier content only
Test timing and copy for better open rates
Push traffic, like email, is reliable and independent of third-party platforms.
15. Explore Paid Traffic (The Smart Way)
While organic growth is ideal, paid traffic can offer a quick boost—if done wisely.
Smart Paid Channels:
Google Ads: Promote high-converting content
Facebook Ads: Target custom audiences who’ve visited your site
Outbrain/Taboola: For native content advertising
Reddit/Quora Ads: Niche targeting
Always A/B test your headlines and creatives, and track ROI closely.
Conclusion: Play the Long Game, Not the Shortcut
There are no instant wins in content marketing. But with persistence and the right strategies, you can turn your article website into a thriving hub of consistent, targeted traffic.
Here’s a summary of your traffic-boosting toolkit:
✅ Define your audience and niche ✅ Master keyword research and SEO ✅ Create evergreen, valuable content ✅ Promote across social and email channels ✅ Build backlinks and collaborate ✅ Improve site speed and user experience ✅ Track analytics and iterate regularly ✅ Engage your audience through interactive content ✅ Scale with repurposing and paid ads
Traffic isn’t just about numbers—it’s about attracting the right readers, keeping them engaged, and turning them into loyal fans or customers.
